SYS Image ArtOur Staff

Missy Jones and Cole Geil are our YouthShops! Coordinators this summer.  Cole is your go-to person for questions, ideas and concerns.  Missy will stay involved in the program in a supporting role, but won’t be around on a day-to-day basis.   Cole and Missy work out of the Tecumseh Commons at 116 West Main Street in Shawnee and are reachable by phone there at 740-605-.

Our college-aged assistants are Miller High School graduates attending college.   Chloe Wilson from Moxahala returns this year. She is a sophomore at the Ohio State University studying Agricultural Education.  Brooklyn Wilson of  Monroe Township will join the staff this year.  She will attend at Zane State University this fall studying in their Occupational Therapy Assistant program.   Cole Geil of New Straitsville returns for his third year of SYS and is a June at Bowling Green State University. These Miller High School grads will be great role models for your children!

Our workshops are led by various professionals who have experience with the topic they are teaching and with teaching children.  We hope your child expands their horizons by learning from and enjoying the competent and capable group of people we have assembled.

Summer Lunches in Shawnee

Free summer lunches are served to children 1-18 in Shawnee.  These lunches do not require that you participate in Summer YouthShops, although we’d love to have you!

Transportation

Is transportation an issue for your child getting to camp?  Let us know by calling at 740-394-2660 and we will work with the Perry County Transit System to arrange a ride, or you can do so directly by calling them at 740-342-2810.

Water Bottles

We’d like to ask all parents to send their child with their own water bottle each day with their name written on the bottle in permanent ink.  This will insure that we don’t spread germs, while saving on the cost of throw away cups.  Please help us stay safe and reduce waste!  We will be giving away free water bottles early in the program year for registered youth. If you haven’t received on, ask!  Thanks for your help!
